Rozinante is a hollow, single contiguous surface sculpture made from fir wood veneer sealed with resin, built at half-scale to L Francis Herreschoff’s 1951 plans for his famed yawl. Rozinante is made entirely of salvaged material from an earlier, now destroyed, veneer work entitled Thirty Foot Yawl (collapsible), which was made to the same Herreschoff plans, only at full scale.
