Rotten Squash (Living Inside This Shell)

2014
single unbroken sheet of copper foil that has been sprayed with patina solution
32 × 72 × 78 inches

A series of squashes, vines and garden stakes, along with snails and a single coat hanger, are cast in copper foil using a repoussé method. The objects are removed from the cast, leaving a hollow form with torn edges. Though the sculpture appears as if an aggregate of objects, is a single unbroken piece of foil.
